Meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Economic Diplomats with Entrepreneurs from Ventspils and the Region in Ventspils

In October 2024, the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' economic diplomats visited Ventspils for a networking event held at the Science Centre VIZIUM. The event brought together more than 30 Latvian diplomats from various countries worldwide, along with local entrepreneurs who had the opportunity to learn about the diplomats’ work and establish valuable business connections.

During the visit, diplomats shared their experience in export promotion, attracting investments, and assisting Latvian companies in overcoming challenges in foreign markets. For entrepreneurs, it was a unique opportunity not only to get answers to pressing questions but also to discuss potential future collaborations with diplomatic representatives from countries such as the United States, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and many others.
The event featured presentations and a networking session, where entrepreneurs could meet individually with diplomats to discuss specific collaboration projects and export development opportunities in different regions. The diplomatic visit also included dynamic discussions highlighting key issues related to the global competitiveness of Latvian companies.
"We are pleased with the great interest and active participation of entrepreneurs. It confirms that Latvian businesses are ready for new challenges and eager to seize opportunities in the international market," commented J. Vītoliņš, Chairman of the Ventspils State City Municipality Council. All participants agreed that such meetings are highly valuable for strengthening international contacts and fostering collaboration between Latvian entrepreneurs and foreign markets.
The event took place in a friendly and professional atmosphere, and all involved expressed satisfaction with the experience and insights gained. The organizers thank all participants and look forward to further cooperation in the future.
