The Municipality has prepared project applications titled “Construction of an Industrial Building at 99 Ganību Street, Ventspils” and “Construction of an Industrial Building at Ventspils High Technology Park 4, Ventspils”. Each project envisages the development of a modern, multifunctional industrial facility of approximately 4,400 m², suitable for a wide range of manufacturing activities.
Subject to the approval of the projects and the allocation of EU co-financing, the completed facilities will be offered for lease to businesses. Tenancy rights will be granted through a public auction procedure. Both project applications will be submitted under Specific Objective 6.1.1 “Mitigating the economic, social and environmental impacts of the transition to climate neutrality in the most affected regions” of the European Union Cohesion Policy Programme 2021–2027, within Measure 6.1.1.3 “Support for the development of public infrastructure necessary for business, promoting the transition to a climate-neutral economy” (second call for proposals). The overall objective of the projects is to foster industrial development in Ventspils by improving the business environment and creating favourable conditions for attracting new investments. The implementation of these projects is expected to make a significant contribution to local economic growth and job creation.
