Ventspils Honours the Largest Taxpayers of 2025

On 27 May, the Ventspils State City Municipality held a ceremonial event to honour the largest taxpayers of 2025, expressing gratitude to businesses for their significant contribution to the city's development, employment, and the strengthening of the municipal budget. The tradition of recognising Ventspils' largest taxpayers has been maintained since 1999.
During the event, companies from eight sectors of the economy were awarded based on their personal income tax payments for employees declared in Ventspils and their real estate tax payments to the budget of the Ventspils State City Municipality. In addition, companies that made the highest personal income tax payments per employee declared in Ventspils were also recognised.

​The following companies were named the largest taxpayers of 2025 in their respective sectors:
SIA “Verģi” – agriculture, forestry and fisheries;
SIA “Bucher Municipal” – manufacturing;
SIA “Volts-1” – construction;
AS “Diāna” – wholesale and retail trade;
SIA “Vitol Terminal Latvia” – transportation and storage;
SIA “Diāna-Bistro” – accommodation and food service activities;
SIA “Ziemeļkurzemes Reģionālā slimnīca” – healthcare and social care;
SIA “HansaMatrix Ventspils” – information and communication technologies.
Together, the first-place recipients in these sectors contributed EUR 5.6 million to the budget of the Ventspils State City Municipality in 2025.
In the category recognising the highest personal income tax payments per employee declared in Ventspils, the awards were presented to:
1st place – SIA “Klīnika Zinta”;
2nd place – SIA “Niedrāji MR”;
3rd place – SIA “ITP Baltic”.
