Experience unparalleled connectivity and customer-centric logistics solutions in Latvia's core network hub, strategically positioned on the East-West transit corridor within the European TEN-T network. Ventspils stands out for its responsive infrastructure, offering efficient and versatile transport routes essential for global and regional supply chains.
Why Ventspils?
Ventspils distinguishes itself as a strategic hub within the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), serving as a pivotal base for the efficient delivery of goods throughout the Northern part of the EU. The city's deep-water port, capable of handling the largest vessels in the Baltic Sea year-round, and its status as a significant Ro-Ro transportation center, underscore its logistical prowess.

E-22 Motorway and East-West Railway Corridor Connections

The 1520 mm railway system of Latvia, the Baltic, and Central Asian countries, along with the single road transport system, is a testament to Ventspils' transit development benefits. The E-22 motorway, a dual carriageway, runs through Ventspils and extends to Russia, forming part of a comprehensive road transport system that ensures smooth logistics operations. Ventspils is also a part of the East-West railway corridor, integrated into the common Eurasian transport system, connecting Europe and Asian regions with the Baltic Sea ports. This corridor, with a railway system capable of handling up to 34 million tons per year, is one of the busiest in the Baltic States.

Ferry Traffic to Sweden
Stena Line, one of the world's largest ferry operators with the broadest network in Europe, provides regular ferry lines from Ventspils to Sweden.
The Ventspils – Nynäshamn route, close to Stockholm and within reach of Oslo, operates 12 times a week. This ferry service is the fastest sea route connecting the central part of Sweden and the economic activity centers of Norway with Latvia, which then links to Central Asian countries and further regions via land transport.

Air Traffic of Ventspils
The Ventspils Airport, located within the Freeport of Ventspils, specializes in servicing general aviation flights and is certified for visual flights during both day and night. It features a 1,298-meter-long asphalt runway and provides a passenger terminal, meteorology information service, and 24-hour aviation fuel availability. The unoccupied area adjacent to the airport offers a strategic location for new businesses and production plants. Moreover, Ventspils is approximately 180 km from the Riga International Airport, the biggest air traffic center in Latvia, making it an accessible point for international air travel.

East-West Railway Corridor
Ventspils is a key link in the 1520 mm East-West railway corridor, a vital component of the broader Eurasian transport network. The railway's maximum capacity of 34 million tons per year highlights Ventspils' strategic importance in global logistics and transportation.

Digital Connectivity

Ventspils boasts robust digital infrastructure, with two independent optical submarine cables and four major terrestrial optical lines, ensuring high-speed internet and telecommunications services across the city.
