HansaMatrix
HansaMatrix is a high-tech company that manufactures new electronic products and systems in its factories in Ogre, Ventspils and Marupe. HansaMatrix has been in Ventspils since December 2007 and employs almost 200 people. The availability of premises and employees, as well as the infrastructure, are important factors why the company's management chose Ventspils for its business development.
Products with high added value
Using industry-leading technologies, the complete electronics production cycle is ensured, from manufacturing to assembly of the finished products in the own-made enclosures, packaging and after-sales service. The Ventspils plant uses one of the most advanced electronic printed circuit production lines with the capacity to automatically assemble up to 100 000 high-precision components per hour.

HansaMatrix manufactures products for industry leaders in the fields of transportation, telecommunications energy management, Internet of Things (IoT), medical and defence. The product range is wide enough that it is hard to imagine a device today without electronics, but HansaMatrix is proud that most of its products are high-end and highly sophisticated. Customers are mainly geographically located in the Baltic States, the Nordic countries, the rest of the European Union and to some extent beyond.

Despite various challenges related to both Covid-19 and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the company's operations, the HansaMatrix Group achieved a historically high turnover of EUR 29.11 million in 2022.  "Despite challenges throughout 2022, mostly related to material availability, HansaMatrix achieved all-time record revenues, which would not have been possible without a professional team. Our strong growth was mainly driven by strong demand from existing customers, mainly from the data networking and Internet of Things (IoT) segments. Additional revenues and new expertise were driven by the expansion into a new market segment of aquaculture." Janis Sams, Chairman of the HansaMatrix Group Management Board, commented on the good results.

Work that excites
Hansamatrix's production processes are managed by a dedicated team of professionals. Their skills are a decisive quality factor, which is why one of the company's strategic goals is to invest continuously in the development of its employees. Working for HansaMatrix is an opportunity to work with the most advanced automation and production technologies, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for international market leaders.

Data of 2022 shows that 62% percent of employees have been with the company for more than 3 years, yet HansaMatrix is constantly committed to improving the well-being of the team by creating an inclusive and supportive internal culture so that everyone can realise their goals and ambitions.
All employees have both health and life insurance, extra days off for various occasions, free sports, opportunities to celebrate holidays together and professional development. At the end of last year, the basket of employee benefits was expanded to include a co-financed lunch alongside free fruit and drinks.

To encourage young people to choose engineering as a career and with a view to becoming the company's future employees, internships, scholarships, excursions for young people and various education-related projects are periodically offered.

More environmentally friendly
HansaMatrix has included a number of sustainability objectives in its 5-year strategy, focusing specifically on reducing CO2 emissions and kilowatt hours consumed. Confirming the company's innovative approach not only in the products it produces but also in the way it operates, the production site is now exclusively LED and will soon feature a solar panel park on the roof of the Ventspils production building, whose electricity will be used for its own production needs.

Just to the top
Shareholders have also been busy in recent months. It has already been announced in the public domain that the Baltic private equity fund manager BaltCap, through its 100% subsidiary Emsco Ltd, will soon become the sole shareholder of HansaMatrix, and will therefore propose the delisting of its shares from the stock exchange.  The new ownership structure will allow HansaMatrix to better raise additional capital to efficiently exploit its future growth potential. This transaction is a recognition of a joint team achievement. The new shareholder intends to work closely with HansaMatrix's management and continue to develop the company, as well as financially support its growth and share its extensive experience in developing international businesses.
